The show starts with Alberto Del Rio’s Fiesta celebrating his World Title win. They have the ring all decorated and the band is playing. Then Ricardo brings out the new World Champion Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio welcomes everyone to Fiesta Del Rio & says, “Let’s party San Antonio!” He says that he knows that he & the fans haven’t seen eye to eye over the years but they can all agree with him on this. They have to celebrate the fact that the fat jackass Big Show is no longer World Champion. Then out come Dolph Ziggler, Big E Langston & AJ Lee. Dolph says, “Did somebody say Fiesta?” AJ says that she & Big E love a good party and they’re gonna assume they’re invitation got lost some how. Del Rio asks what they’re doing there. This is his party, Ricardo’s party & the fan’s party. Dolph gets in the & says it’s funny Del Rio should say that. It’s funny that Del Rio thinks think that the fans are his friends.
What’s even funnier is Del Rio thinks that he holds the World Title but he doesn’t. What Del Rio does have is a giant target on his head & Dolph is Mr. Money in the Bank. Dolph then says that Del Rio knows more than anyone what that contract means. It means that whenever Dolph sees fit to cash it in Del Rio will be saying adios to that World Title. Del Rio asks Dolph if he really thinks that he can cash in on Del Rio. Dolph says that he will. Then Dolph says tells his associate Big E Langston, “Meet Alberto Del Rio & say hello to his little friend Ricardo.” Big E says to Ricardo, “Que Pasa little man?” Del Rio tells the 3 of them to get out of there right now. Dolph says they’ll go but maybe first Big E will drop Del Rio where he stands, Dolph cashes his MITB contract & he leaves with the World Title. Del Rio tells him to try it & let’s see what happens.
Then out comes Big Show. Dolph says he doesn’t know how good Del Rio is with math but the champ is out numbered. Then out comes Sheamus. Sheamus calls Dolph, “Ziggles”. Then he says he thought he would come out and help with this numbers situation Dolph was talking about.
Sheamus then says that everyone knows that he can’t resist a Fiesta Del Rio (Even though he & Del Rio were feuding over the title when Sheamus was champion just a few months ago, but we’re supposed to forget that) especially when he has so many of his great friends right here. Sheamus tells “Bertie” that he’s not out there to crash his party. He knows they’ve had their differences in the past (Nice to know they mentioned that). Then Sheamus tells Del Rio they beat each other black and blew “Fella”. Sheamus then says that the last time he was there he even tried to steel Del Rio’s car (He actually did steel it). Then Sheamus says that he came out because he wanted to congratulate Del Rio on his epic victory over the giant last week. Sheamus then tells Del Rio that he has no doubt on his mind that Del Rio deserves to be World Champion. Sheamus then says that it would be an honor for him right now to be the first to shake Del Rio’s hand. They shake hands and then Sheamus says to go along with that he would also like to offer his services tonight as a bouncer for this Fiesta to make sure that none of these Muppets get involved in Del Rio’s party. Del Rio thanks Sheamus and then tells him this is a Fiesta. Del Rio doesn’t want anyone fighting. Sheamus says, “What really?” Then Del Rio says, “Maybe just a little bit.”
Then Can you dig it Sucka hits & out comes GM Booker T. Booker says it ain’t goin down like this. Booker gets in the ring and says that tonight this is a Fiesta. Then Booker wants to be serious for a minute (What is he Lance Storm all of a sudden)? Booker tells Big Show that if he ever puts his hand on him again he will ruin Big Show’s day “Sucka.” Then Booker says that there will be a fight tonight. Big Show will team with Dolph & they will face Sheamus & Del Rio. That match will be the tag team main event extravaganza. Then he asks Big Show, Dolph Langston & AJ to leave the Fiesta because they’re not invited. Big Show gets in Booker’s face for a bit and then the heels walk out. Then Booker asks the fans if they’re ready to party.
Let’s kick this Fiesta Del Rio off right now. Del Rio tells the muchachos to play some music. They play some music and then Del Rio tells Booker to do a Spinnarooni. Booker does that and he & Booker hug. Then Sheamus is about to exit the ring but Del Rio has him come back in. Del Rio puts a sombrero in the middle of the ring & tells Sheamus to do the Mexican hat dance. Sheamus says that no one wants to see him do that. He tells Del Rio that he has a reputation to keep. Del Rio says that they wanna see Sheamus, well pretty much act like a hokey baby face. Then Sheamus says this is a Fiesta & he dances with the Spanish dancer.
Kofi Kingston vs. U.S. Champion Antonio Cesaro.

They traded offense early, with Cesaro eventually tripping Kofi onto the second rope. He hit a gutwrench suplex and a stomp, and then locked in a chin lock. Kofi escaped and hit an elbow, followed by some chops and a drop kick. Kofi rolled up Cesaro, but he reversed and got a two count. Kofi hit SOS and got a two count. Kofi attempted a jumping hurricanrana of the top rope, but Cesaro caught him and hit the Neutralizer for the victory.

- They cut to Miz backstage and Primo, Epico & Rosa are there for some reason. They call Miz Ric Flair’s new side kick. Then they say really a few times. Miz sarcastically says how cleaver that was, using his reallys against him. Miz says this was the first time that they talked in over 2 years & that’s what they say. Rosa says they talk all the time. They were just talking about how much Miz has in common with Ric. It was a short conversation. Primo & Epico say that Flair was a great wrestler & Miz has catchphrases. Miz tells Epico to listen up, but he was talking to Primo. Miz asks who the other guy is. He’s Epico. Miz says that no one cares. He challenges 1 of them to a match tonight. It doesn’t matter which 1. Miz says they should leave it up to than he looks at Rosa and says, “Whatever it is you do.”
Great Khali vs. Tensai

Khali slapped Tensai in the chest a couple of times, per usual. Tensai got aggressive and beat down Khali in the corner. The ref separated them, and Khali caught Tensai with a boot to the face. He followed up with a big chop and got the win.
Khali defeated Tensai
- Kane & Daniel Bryan are backstage. Daniel doesn’t get why Shelby thought it was a good idea to bring Cody & Sandow into their therapy session Monday on Raw. Then Kane says that speaking of things that aren’t a good idea, what’s with that thing on Cody’s face? Daniel says that some people just don’t get that their facial hair starts to look ridiculous. Kane says, “Tell me about it.” Daniel then asks Kane what he’s trying to say. Kane says nothing. Daniel tells him to say it. Then Kane says no & Daniel says yes. They scream that back & forth at each other for a bit. Then Randy Orton comes in. He’s curious if Kane & Daniel will act like 2nd graders tonight or are they actually interested in delivering some pain to Cody, Sandow & Barrett. Kane says both & walks off. Then Daniel tells Orton that they’re not acting like they’re in second grade. They’re working through their anger issues. Daniel then says that’s something Orton knows a little bit about. Daniel says that he & Kane used to be a lot like Orton, but thanks to Shelby they’re in a better place now. Not only that, they are champions. Daniel asks Orton if he wants to be a champion again. Orton says that he does. Then he says that after he wins the Royal Rumble…Daniel cuts him off & says that tonight is not about the rumble. Orton has to take 1 step at a time. First they win the 6 man tag and then…GROUP HUG! Orton says that he is not much of a hugger. Daniel says that he isn’t yet....
Randy Orton and WWE Tag Team Champions Kane & Daniel Bryan vs. Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes & Damien Sandow

Orton and Rhodes began, and Randy took control early. He tagged in Kane, who hit a low dropkick for a two count. Kane locked an arm bar and tagged in Bryan, who hit a double axe handle and an arm breaker. Bryan followed up with some kicks. Cody ducked the final kick and tagged in Sandow. Bryan attempted to apply the Yes or No Lock, whatever it’s called this week, but he escaped to the outside…

Sandow stomped on Kane and tagged in Rhodes, who hit some strikes before he tagged Sandow back in. Sandow hit a side Russian Leg Sweep and an elbow, and tagged in Wade Barrett. Barrett worked over Kane in the corner. Kane fought off all three men briefly, but Barrett caught him with his signature sidewalk slam. Barrett tagged in Rhodes and Kane hit some strikes and tagged in Orton. Rhodes tagged in Sandow, who got dominated by Orton. Orton hit clotheslines and his hanging DDT, but Rhodes interfered before he could hit the RKO.

Kane interfered and sent Rhodes from the ring, and Bryan hit a flying Knee on Barrett on the outside. Rhodes snuck in and hit CrossRhodes on Orton, and then Sandow covered, but Kane broke up the tag. Kane sent Rhodes from the ring, and then Sandow dumped Kane to the outside. Orton then hit the RKO on Sandow for the win.
Randy Orton and Team Hell No defeated Wade Barrett and Team Rhodes Scholars
Post match, Kane and Bryan forced a group hug on Orton. Orton looked disgusted, and Bryan cheesed like a moron….
- Time to recap The Rock concert from Monday that was followed by The Rock-CM Punk pull apart brawl.
The Miz vs. Primo

Primo hit a nice shoulder block, and did a Flair strut. Primo continued to stay in control for the opening minutes, hitting a nice knee lift and a low drop kick. He then locked in a chin lock. Miz escaped but only briefly as Primo hit some strikes and a leg drop for a two count. Miz hit some strikes of his own, but got caught with a snap suplex by Primo, who covered for two. Miz fought his way back in with punches in the corner, and then pancaked a charging Primo. Miz rolled through a rollup attempt, and hit a big kick to Primo’s face. He then followed up with a jumping clothesline into the corner, and an axehandle from the top.

Miz went for a skull crushing finale, but Epico distracted him. Primo then went for a figure four, but Miz kicked him away into Epico. Miz then applied his own figure four and got the tap.

The Miz defeated Primo
- Kaitlyn, Layla & Alicia Fox are backstage. Alicia tells Kaitlyn that the Divas title looks good on her. The yap for a bit, Layla hold the belt for some reason. Then Kaitlyn says that she has to get to her match. She asks Layla to give her the belt back. Layla gives it back and then Booker T & Teddy Long come by. Booker wanted to congratulate Kaitlyn. He says that she rocked the city. “H Town.” Long congratulated Kaitlyn too. He’s also really happy that she made Eve quit after what she did to him. Long asks Booker what he’s laughing about. Kaitlyn says she has to get ready for her match.
Divas Champion Kaitlyn vs. Aksana

Aksana offered a handshake and then pushed Kaitlyn. They tied up and Kaitlyn took Aksana down for a waist lock and spanked her. She then hit a snap suplex and covered for a two count. Aksana tripped up Kaitlyn and she rolled to the apron. Kaitlyn hit an elbow from the apron and climbed to the top rope, but Aksana pushed her off to the floor.

Akana rolled Kaitlyn back into the ring and applied a chin lock for way too long. Kaitlyn eventually elbowed out, but Kaitlyn pushed her down and they rolled on the ground pulling hair. Aksana hit a few boots in the corner, and the ref separated them. She worked around the ref and hit Kaitlyn a few more times, and the ref separated them again. Aksana wasted too much time arguing with the ref, and took a spear from Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn then covered for the win.
Kaitlyn defeated Aksana
-They show a video package on Mick Foley’s career. This was good. Mick is without a doubt a well deserving first ballot Hall of Famer!
- Time for promo from The Shield. Ambrose: Attention WWE Universe. Rollins: Attention Sheamus. Ambrose: Attention Randy Orton. Reigns: Attention Ryback. Rollins: We are the Shield. Ambrose: On January 14 The Shield crashed Mick Foley’s Hall of Fame announcement and not for nothing but on behalf of all the broken bodies and broken dreams he left in the wake of his Hall of Fame career. Rollins: We spoiled the celebration in the name of justice. Ambrose: Mick you may live denial for the rest of your life. You may deny responsibility for the example set for all the would be super stars, all those kids who sacrificed their bodies in the name of being hardcore. Reigns: Either way we hold you accountable. Rollins: Everyone is accountable. Ryback was held accountable. And now Ryback you want back what we took from you? Reigns: What’s done is done. You’ll never get it back. Rollins: Randy Orton (then he laughs). Ambrose: Randy there are 206 bones in the human body. There are 206 bones in your body. We broke 1. Reigns: We’re just getting started. Rollins: And Sheamus, you like to fight for fun hey Fella? Reigns: We fight for justice. Then they each say their names. Ambrose: All of you, you will believe. Rollins: Believe in The Shield. Reigns: BELIEVE IN THE SHIELD!
- Randy Orton is watching the monitor in his dressing room & then Sheamus comes in. Sheamus says, “Isn’t it funny how The Shield acts so tough when their hidden somewhere in the building where no one can find them?” Then Orton says he doesn’t really find The Shield that funny. He doesn’t think it’s funny how they injured his shoulder and they sure weren’t laughing Wednesday. Sheamus tells Orton that he is sorry that he’s sorry he wasn’t there to help him out Wednesday like he was Monday. Then Orton says that he doesn’t need Sheamus’ help. Sheamus then sarcastically says that Orton’s doing such a great job fighting off The Shield Monday on Raw from his back. Orton says that is why he likes Sheamus because he always has an answer for everything. Orton then says that what will be interesting is that in 2 weeks at the Royal Rumble, Orton needs this win & he’s gonna get it. While Sheamus might have an answer for everything Orton assures Sheamus that he will have no answer for him. This was a good bit. I thought the tension between the 2 here was well done. I still say they should team up with Ryback and face The Shield in a war games Elimination Chamber match, Sheamus & Orton can have more dissention and that can build to their match at WrestleMania.
World Champion Alberto Del Rio & Sheamus vs. Big Show & Dolph Ziggler.

Ziggler started with an arm bar, but Del Rio reversed acrobatically. Ziggler hit some strikes in the corner. Del Rio avoided a charging Ziggler and hit a body slam. Del Rio pancaked Ziggler and made a tag to Sheamus. He hit a long hanging vertical suplex, and made a cover for two. Ziggler slipped out of an attempt at a rolling senton and tagged the Big Show.

Show entered and basically mugged Sheamus, hitting him with a flurry of strikes and tossed him from the ring. Big E attempted to run Sheamus into the post, but Sheamus avoided it and the ref noticed and ejected Big E. AJ then argued the ejection, and got sent to the back herself. Ziggler has the worst sidekicks in recorded history…

Ziggler hit a kick to Del Rio, but ate an absolutely awesome German Suplex. Del Rio tagged in Sheamus, who went up top, but got dumped to the floor by Big Show. Ziggler went to work on Sheamus as soon as he crawled back into the ring. Big Show tagged in and dropped an elbow on Sheamus’ knee. Big Show continued to work power, and stepped on Sheamus’ back with both feet. He then worked over Sheamus’ knee. Sheamus escaped the hold by hitting clubbing blows to Show’s chest. Sheamus attempted a tag, but Show dropped an elbow before he could get to his corner.

Show hit a vicious looking knee to Sheamus’s face, and covered for a very close near fall. Show climbed to the second rope and hit a Vader Splash, but only got a near fall. Show tried again, but missed. Both men made tags, and Del Rio hit a huge superkick to a kneeling Del Rio for a near fall. He then locked in the Cross Arm Breaker, but Sheamus broke it up. Sheamus re-entered and hit White Noise on Big Show. Del Rio then hit an Enziguri to knock show off the apron, and dumped a bucket of water on him. Big Show then left in anger, and they won via count out.

Royal Rumble » Matches » Alberto Del Rio Vs Big Show World Heavyweight Championship Match

Alberto Del Rio will defend his newly won world heavyweight championship against Big Show at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view (PPV) on Sun., Jan. 27, 2013, at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
Show invoked his rematch clause on tonight's 20th Anniversary episode of Monday Night Raw in the opening segment of the evening. The set up was simple. Show complained about the nature of his losing the title being unfair, Del Rio told him to do something about it, and Show said he wants his rematch at the Rumble PPV.
So they can steal the show over the Rumble match itself and CM Punk vs. The Rock. That's a tall task but they did have one hell of a Last Man Standing match on SmackDown last week.

WWE - [Smackdown Result & Photos] January 11th 2013

The WWE Narrator put over The Rock’s return to Smackdown after 10 years, and also spoke about Alberto Del Rio’s focus on the World Heavyweight Championship. Lilian Garcia stood in the ring and introduced Booker T. Mathews put over the fact that rumors have been swirling about a major Booker T announcement all week. Booker welcomed the crowd to Smackdown, and promised 2013 would start off with a bang. He said Raw was off the hook this week, but he knew Smackdown could do better.

Booker said the way he saw it, Raw gave fans Ziggler vs. Cena, so he was going to give them Antonio Cesaro vs. Randy Orton. He then said Raw delivered the great one, but Booker said he would also give them The Rock inside the ring. Booker then said he would give the fans and World Heavyweight Championship match between Booker T and Alberto Del Rio, and it would be a Last Man Standing Match. Big Show then charged his way down to the ring and told Booker the title match was a horrible idea. Show grabbed a mic and accused Booker of having a personal vendetta.
Show asked him if he was bitter that he was retired and Show was not? He then asked what problem Booker had with him as champion. Show then said he only made that match because they were in Miami, and he wanted to give the latino fans a reason to get behind Alberto Del Rio. He then went on an odd racially charged promo about how there are no Latino Heroes, and that the inferior people of Miami didn’t deserve a hero or a title match. Just as Show was threatening Booker T physically, Del Rio made his way down to the ring and cleared Show to the outside with kicks.
They then showed a highlight from September 13th, 2001, where The Rock defeated Sean Stasiak in about 10 seconds. They will be showing more highlights of The Rock on Smackdown throughout the show. They also said a CM Punk pipe bomb would air, and said Orton vs. Cesaro is next…
As Antonio Cesaro comes to the ring they go to the promo box. Cesaro says that unlike typical Americans who just wait for a handout he takes advantage of the opportunities that this country has given him. He says that he will enter & win the Royal Rumble. To all the Americans with their lack of drive, ability & self respect, like Randy Orton, or his Royal Rumble opponents he says thank you and he proudly waves the American flag. Then he chants USA.
Randy Orton vs Antonio Cesaro

They traded punches and kicks early. Orton dumped Cesaro to the outside and followed up with a huge clothesline on the floor. Orton re-entered the ring…

Cesaro worked a chin lock mid ring, but it didn’t last as Orton elbowed out. Cesaro hit a clothesline and covered for two. He then picked up Orton in a gut wrench and tossed him over for a suplex. He followed up with a pin for another two count. Cesaro continued the assault in the corner with punches and kicks, and then went back to a chin lock. He then tossed Orton into the corner and charged, but Orton avoided and rolled him up for two.

Cesaro regrouped and hit a clothesline of his own, and then taunted Orton with a paintbrush slap to the back of the head. Orton responded and fired up with a clothesline and a powerslam. Cesaro counted an Orton charge by pressing him into the air and hitting a European uppercut. Orton recovered and hit an inverted backbreaker. He then hit a hung DDT, and fired up the crowd for an RKO. Just as Cesaro recovered, The Shield interfered and put a beating on Orton, including a three man powerbomb…
Randy Orton defeated Antonio Cesaro by DQ
- Backstage Matt Striker is with 3MB. Striker says that on Raw they announced that they will enter the Royal Rumble. Drew says they’ve officially been added to the 3MB world tour Royal Rumble match. Jinder says that 3MB will rock when it rolls into Phoenix. Heath says they’re 30 guys in the rumble but there’re 3 of them. His mom said they have a 10% chance of winning the rumble and going on to headline WrestleMania. Then Drew says that they have a certain Irish tenor to tend to. Jinder says that what Sheamus pulled on Raw was way out of tune. Then Heath says they will beat Sheamus like an Irish drum. This was lame. I guess since The Shield took out Orton they’re not looking to get back at him too.
They show a video of CM Punk & Paul Heyman on a football field. Punk asks if this place looks familiar to The Rock. Of course it does because this is the Sun Life Stadium, the home of WrestleMania 28 where Rock had his last match last year. It also happens to be the home of the University of Miami football team. Punk’s sure that everyone around the world, Rock included thinks that based off of what happened to them in the ring Monday night that Punk will ruin Rock’s little homecoming and say horrible things about Rock & his family and spit some venom Rock’s way. That couldn’t be further from the truth. He’s actually a huge fan of The Rock’s. Especially Rock’s college football career. Then he shows that he’s holding Rock’s football jersey with his name Johnson on it. He puts on jersey # 94.

Heyman says it looks good. Then Punk says it’s a little known fact that he is a huge college football aficionado. He wanted to come to the place where The Rock played college ball. Except this is the Sun Life Stadium and Rock never played there. Rock played his home games in the Orange Bowl. Punk mentions they tore down the Orange Bowl. Heyman says they laid the Smackdown on the Orange Bowl. Punk then says that the place where Rock lived his college football glory days is gone. Punk says that’s a hell of a metaphor because the place Rock lived his sports entertainment glory years is gone too. This isn’t the WWE Rock knows and loves. This isn’t the WWE Rock dominated. This is Punk’s house now.

This is CM Punk’s WWE. They live in the CM Punk era. Rock doesn’t have a future in WWE as long as Punk is his opponent. He doesn’t want to ruin Rock’s day. He knows that Rock is surrounded by loved ones. He wants Rock to hug & kiss everybody and have a good time. Punk likes a feel good moment just as much as the next guy. Except that he likes to snatch them out of the air and likes to break them apart with his bare hands. He wants Rock to remember that when he steps in the ring with him at the Royal Rumble. Punk knows that WWE is making a big deal out of Rock’s return home to Miami.

They’re trumpeting Rock’s return to his show Smackdown fir the first in 10 years and Punk knows without a doubt that Rock will stand in the people’s ring with the people’s microphone in front of his friends & family & Rock will say finally The Rock has come back to Miami. Punk tells Rock to understand that while he can come back to Miami, he truthfully wants Rock to know that he can never go home
- Alberto Del Rio & Ricardo Rodriguez are in the locker room. Matt Striker comes in and wants Del Rio’s reaction to what happened earlier tonight in the ring as well as the fact that he will be competing in a last man standing match for the World Title tonight. Del Rio says that Big Show is the most insecure person in the world. First he bullies Del Rio’s amigo Ricardo and then Show goes and lowers himself by running down Del Rio’s people. Del Rio says that Big Show doesn’t know anything about the Latino community. Tonight he will make sure Big Show gets a perfect picture of what La Familia means. AT the end of the night the last man standing in that ring will be a Latino. His name will be Alberto Del Rio and he will be the new World Champion.

Great Khali and Natalya vs. Dolph Ziggler and AJ Lee

Lots of ridiculous slaps from Khali onto Ziggler, and then he rolled away and tagged AJ. AJ jumped on Khali, but Natalya pulled her off and slammed the back of her head into the mat. Natalya then went for the Sharpshooter, but AJ bit her knee like a psychopath. Natty continued on offense, but AJ bit her face until the ref broke them up. AJ then hit Sliced Bread from the corner and got the pinfall.
AJ pinned Natalya
- Afterwards Big E Langston clotheslines Khali to the canvas. Then Dolph gives Khali the Famasser. Then Hornswoggle gets in the ring. Dolph & Big E surround him. Hornswoggle looks to get out of the ring but Big E grabs him and gives him his finisher.

- Back to CM Punk & Paul Heyman at Sun Life Stadium. Punk says that Monday night on Raw Rock told him time’s up. Obviously a reference to him being WWE Champion. Rock said it so definitively that Punk believes that Rock actually convinced himself that he thinks that he can beat Punk. As if Rock is some sort of super hero that’s come back to save the people. Punk says the people don’t deserve to be saved. The people can rot in hell because that is what they deserve. Punk is the best in the world. He’s better than the people & he’s better than The Rock. Heyman asks Rock if that bothers him. Heyman gets that Rock’s vision is that he is just as talented as Punk but he’s not. Heyman tells Rock not to take it personally. Punk is not just better than Rock. He is better than everybody. Punk is the best in the world. Heyman gets that Rock’s vision & the people’s vision is that Rock is the conquering hero, and that The Rock is gonna ride into the rumble and beat up the bad guy and then ride back out of town into WrestleMania with the WWE Title. That’s the people’s vision. Heyman then says that Punk has made a career out of stomping out people’s dreams and Punk does not share the people’s vision. In the era of CM Punk it doesn’t matter what Rock’s or the people’s vision is. Punk takes off the jersey and throws it down on the field.

- The Rock comes to the ring and poses on the turnbuckles. The fans chant Rocky. Rock stands in the ring for a bit and the camera zooms in on his right arm. Then Rock says, "Finally The Rock has come back (really long pause) home.” Rock says that this is a very special show and a special night. Rock wants to introduce someone tonight. He’s not only The Rock’s boy. He’s not only a worldwide super star who was Grammy nominated. More importantly then all of that, Miami’s own Flo Rida. They show him in the front row. SO now not only is The Rock back but he is back on a very special show. The Rock is back on a show that was named after him. The Rock is back on his show tonight in front of his home town, Smackdown. “So you can imagine how excited The Rock is to come here tonight in front of his home city, home town. In front of family, in front of friends. The Rock wanted to continue what he just did. On Monday, this past Monday on Raw Rock Bottom in the middle of this ring, People’s Elbow in the middle of this ring. So you can imagine you can imagine how disappointed I was and I know you are too that CM Punk decided not to show up.” Then the fans boo and chant cookie puss. Then Rock says that CM Punk wants to rundown The Rock’s home town, Rock wants to make something perfectly clear to Punk. This is where it all started for The Rock. At the U. On that campus, Green Tree practice field where it all started for The Rock. He mentions how he & his team mates learned about commitment and sacrifice. They played in every major bowl. They became National Champions. Rock tells Punk that everything that The Rock has done in life, everything he’s accomplished all started right here in Miami. Home for The Rock isn’t just being back in Miami, not just on Smackdown. He tells Punk that he can take this to the bank, home for The Rock is this Royal Rumble when The Rock kicks Punk’s cookie puss ass and becomes WWE Champion. Since Punk didn’t want to come to Smackdown to have fun The Rock will have some fun on his own. He asks the Miami fans if they want to have fun tonight.
- Then Damien Sandow’s music hits and he & Cody Rhodes come to the ring. Sandow says, “Allow me to beg your indulgence for 1 moment.” He says that he is the intellectual savior of the unwashed masses and this is his tag team partner and best friend, the essence of mustachioed magnificence, Cody Rhodes. Sandow says that he & Cody are out there not only to help The Rock but to correct him. Cody tells Rock that he is not to become champion. He & Sandow are. Cody mentions that they beat Kane & Daniel Bryan Monday night and they will become Tag Team Champions. All things considered Sandow & Cody don’t think Rock deserves this time. They do. Cody suggests that Rock gets out of the ring before he doesn’t have any choice. Sandow holds the ropes open for Rock & Rock makes like he’s gonna walk out. Then Rock wants to get this straight. Cody & Sandow sauntered down that ramp (The fans say what), got in the ring (what), in the people’s ring (what), on the people’s show (what), Smackdown (what), dressed like this (what), dead caterpillar on Cody’s lip (what). Sandow says that wasn’t funny. Rock says that Cody & Sandow dress like this. That takes a lot of guts. Rock then asks what is on Cody’s face. Cody says that he is an adult. If he wants to grown a mustache, then he will. Then Sandow says that recently he has embarked on a feudal quest to find an apprentice. He has been asking the fans to answer 3 questions correctly. Not surprisingly he hasn’t found 1 that has been able to do so. Then he says that seeing how Rock is the People’s Champion let’s see if he can do what the fans couldn’t. If Rock answers 3 questions correctly he gets to stay in the ring. If he doesn’t he has to leave. Sandow asks Rock what he thinks, or is Rock to intellectually not up to par. Then Rock says, “Like the shirt says, ‘Just Bring It.’” Cody says he doesn’t know if Rock can correctly answer 3 questions since he did go to Miami. Sandow sarcastically congratulates Rock on being able to read. Question number 1. He says, “Silence” to the fans. Then Sandow asks Rock who was the 19th President of the United States? Sandow says that 19 is after 18 and before 20. Rock says that he knows numbers and he tells Sandow to shut his mouth. Rock says that his answer will be an answer that has never been uttered before in the history of Smackdown. “The 19th President of the United States, Rutherford B. Hayes. B**ch.” Sandow says that isn’t what the B stood for but Rock is correct. Rock says, “Oh you’re damn right I’m correct. Listen The Rock knows his 19th Century.” Then he says that just like Sandow’s 19th century beard, his big buggy eyes, Sandow looks like what would’ve happened if Abe Lincoln got busy with a gremlin. Cody then says, “Ok gremlins. Movies, right?” He says that Rock is the big movie star. Rock tells Cody not to feed gremlins after midnight. Then Cody asks Rock what film won the academy award for best picture in 1993? Rock says not the Tooth Fairy (A fan said that apparently). Rock says that’s easy, Shindler’s List. Cody says Rock is right and Rock says, “You’re damn right The Rock is correct.” Rock then says that Cody should know something about lists, since he looks like he spends 20 hours a day on Craig’s list. Rock then says that Lillian is afraid. He tells her not to worry; she can put away her pepper spray. If Cody gets near her Rock will slap that caterpillar right into the 8th row. Then Sandow screams, “Silence!” Time for the final question. Rock cuts Sandow off and says how about this. They asked Rock 2 questions. How about The Rock asks Sandow 1 final question. Since they were so nice to come out and interrupt The Rock in front of his home town he will ask Sandow1 question. If he gets it right he will get an amazing prize from The Rock & from Miami. Then Rock asks Sandow what happens when you combine a geological aggregate of minerals with its lowest form. Sandow says, “That would be you get Rock Bottom. Then Rock says, “Exactly”. Then he gives Sandow the Rock Bottom. Then Cody takes his ring jacket off but Rock gives him a spine buster followed by the People’s Elbow. Rock then says, “If ya smeeeeeeell what The Rock is cookin’”

Alberto Del Rio vs. World Champion Big Show in a Last Man Standing match for the Title

They traded kicks and punches to start, with Show slapping Del Rio in the chest and hitting a body slam to take control. The ref counted to four after the body slam. Del Rio hit a side kick, but couldn’t mount any serious offense. Show hit another slap to the chest, and set up a Table at ring side. Show then pulled Del Rio to ringside and body slammed him onto it. The ref counted to six before Del Rio got up. Show then grabbed a chair from behind the announce booth, and tossed it and Del Rio into the ring.

Del Rio kicked Show in the chest and grabbed the chair from him. He hit him in the back and legs several times with it. Show fell to a knee, but not enough to count him. Del Rio then jabbed Show in the ribs with the chair, but again he just went to a knee. Del Rio went for a cross arm breaker, but Show powered him up over his head. Show went to toss him over the top rope, but Del Rio hung on and locked in the cross arm breaker. Show eventually worked free and Del Rio crashed to the floor. The ref counted to seven before Del Rio got to his feet…

Show and Del Rio traded kicks and punches at ringside. Show eventually tossed Del Rio back in the ring. A moment later, Del Rio drop kicked Big Show through a table that was setup in the corner. Show got up quickly. Del Rio locked Big Show in a sleeper hold for quite a while, and then hit several clotheslines. Show recovered and sent Del Rio into the corner. Del Rio jumped to the top rope and tried a double axe handle, but Show caught him and hit a choke slam. Del Rio answered the ref’s count at eight.

Big Show tossed Del Rio to the outside. He then speared him through the time keepers area. Del Rio stirred and answered the count at nine. Show tossed Del Rio back in the ring and methodically climbed in himself. Show signaled for a KO punch and dropped Del Rio. Alberto rolled off the apron and Del Rio used the ring to hold himself up on the floor to break the ref’s count. Show loosened the ring steps and grabbed the top portion. Show ran at Del Rio, but he avoided and Show ran into the ring post with the steps.

Del Rio grabbed the steps and rammed Show in the shoulder. He then hit him a second and third time, the last of which knocked him down. Del Rio then tipped the announce table over and pushed it on top of Big Show. Del Rio picked himself up to his feet using the ring again, and Show couldn’t answer the ten count. Del Rio wins the World Heavyweight Championship.

Elimination Chamber 2013 Official Poster

The 2013 WWE Elimination Chamber PPV poster features The Rock, John Cena, CM Punk, Ryback, Big Show and Sheamus, teasing that all six would be involved in a major way at the last PPV prior to Wrestlemania 29. If Rock works inside the Chamber, that would be the first time he’s ever done that match. Check out the poster above.

[WWE SMACKDOWN] Results & Photos '' 4 JANUARY 2013''

- The show starts with Randy Orton coming to the ring. He says that since tonight is the first Smackdown of 2013 and since it seems to be the thing to do to make new years resolutions, he will make this short and sweet. He wants to be World Champion. Not too long ago Smackdown was his show. Lately that doesn’t seem to be the case, but he has a way to fix all that. Tonight he officially announces his entering in the Royal Rumble. Then out comes Sheamus.
- He’s sorry to cut Orton off, “Fella.” Sheamus says he knows what Orton’s thinking. That Sheamus is out there to steel his thunder but that’s not the case al all. Sheamus was planning to do the exact same thing as Orton. 2013 is a new year and more than anything Sheamus also wants to be World Champion. Then Sheamus says that he will also be in the Royal Rumble. That’s not the only reason Sheamus is out there. He wanted to thank Orton for helping him out against The Shield on Monday night. Not that he was asking for Orton’s help. Then Orton asks Sheamus if he thought he came out to help Sheamus.
- Orton then says that a month ago The Shield attacked and they tried to put him out. Orton did that for himself. Orton says it’s everyman for himself at the rumble and at the rumble it will be about Orton, not Sheamus. Sheamus knows how the rumble works and he mentions that he won it last year. Orton remembers which is why it will be extra special when Orton eliminates the former rumble winner.
- Sheamus then says that it has been a year since the last rumble and he’s very sketchy on this. Sheamus then says that if he Brogue Kicks Orton’s head over the top rope and Orton’s body stays in the ring does that count as elimination?
- Then out comes Big Show. He was sitting in the back listening to the 2 of them yapping back and forth about them entering and winning the rumble and both guys wanting to be World Champion. Sheamus & Orton both think that that if they win the rumble they will get a chance at the World Title. If Orton or Sheamus survive the rumble all they’ll get a shot at is Big Show’s fist. Big Show tells Sheamus that Sheamus’ 2013 will be just like his 2012, with Big Show knocking him out. As far as Orton goes, he can come on over and take a try. Big Show will be happy to step on the snake. He has a size 18 boot and he will grind that snake right into the ground. Whether Sheamus & Orton like to admit it or not Big Show is the world’s largest athlete & the most dominant World Champion the WWE has ever seen. He is a giant. Neither 1 of them…
- Then Antonio Cesaro comes out. He says that they’re typical Americans (Even though Sheamus is from Ireland). Talking about who will beat up who. Sheamus mentions that he is from Ireland. Cesaro says that’s even worse. Where Cesaro comes from, Switzerland, they don’t just talk, they take action. Which is why for months he has been coming out and talking about soft, lazy, fat, no not fat. Grotesquely obese Americans. Something everyone should realize by just looking in the mirror but no one does. The truth is the truth. Orton then says how about this fat; soft, lazy American heads up the ramp and gives both Cesaro & Show an RKO right now.
- Cue Booker T’s music and out he comes. He says that it’s obvious to him that these 4 guys don’t like each other. Big Show says that he doesn’t like anybody. Booker says that tonight Big Show & Cesaro will have to find a way to get along, because they will team up tonight to face Randy Orton & Sheamus. Booker says that tonight in Richmond they’ll kick the new year off with a bang “Now can you dig that, sucka!?”

They need to try and tare him down just everyone else. Barrett asks if you want some scandal then have a look at the real Kofi Kingston. The Kofi who this past week on Main Event attacked him from behind after Barrett had already beaten 3 guys. It didn’t work then and it won’t work tonight either. - Matt Striker is backstage with Kofi Kingston. Striker mentions that Kofi lost the Intercontinental Title to Wade Barrett on Raw. Then Kofi got some revenge by beating Barrett on Main Event in a gauntlet match. He asks Kofi if he feels this momentum can carry him to a win tonight. Kofi says this has nothing to do with momentum. He knew that he was going to challenge Barrett long before he beat him on Main Event. It was the second that Wade stood in the middle of the ring with Kofi’s Intercontinental Title raised high in the air, Kofi admits that Wade got the best of him and it cost him the title. This might be Kofi’s last shot. His back is truly up against the wall but this isn’t anything new. He’s had his back up against the wall his entire life but he always comes up fighting. Tonight will be no different as he fights to become Intercontinental Champion 1 more time. Wade can say that Kofi is running out of time and options. Tonight Wade is going to run into Trouble in Paradise.
